The User Experience Research Lab is an interdisciplinary research effort founded by Indiana University Media School PhD students with the goal of providing UX research services to members of the IU community. The lab provides UX consultation services in addition to running UX research projects to better educate and serve the community on the usefulness of effective UX research.
Johnathan Anderson is a PhD candidate in the Media School and co-founder of the User Experience Research Lab. He is a social psychologist whose work primarily has focused on the impact that media have on an individual's well-being and development of fandom.
Xan Smith is a recent IU Media School graduate and co-founder of the User Experience Research Lab. His research has focused on the way individuals engage with media and the ways in which individuals experience their identity within mediated environments. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
